The full experience, including guided interpretation of the ringfort and surrounding landscape, takes around 2–2.5 hours. The Derrynane bay shore path is roughly 3 km along coastal terrain, also with regular stops to catch your breath and take in the views.

These walks are specifically designed for older adults and people with varying fitness levels. We pace them carefully, build in plenty of rest stops, and you're welcome to take things at your own speed. Sturdy, well-fitted walking boots or shoes are essential—the souterrain sites and ringfort paths involve uneven ground and occasional muddy sections. Bring waterproof layers (Kerry weather changes quickly), a hat, and a packed snack.
